Dear Readers,

A couple of weeks ago, we got the news that a dear friend of ours, Liz Ligon, had been diagnosed with stage-four pancreatic cancer. Last night we learned that Liz had passed away. She was just 46 years old.

Liz and her husband, Claudio, are/were quite possibly the kindest people I know. If everyone were as kind and warm-hearted as them, this world would have no problems. Yesterday was also their anniversary.

Liz was a supremely talented freelance photographer based in Brooklyn. She was always taking pictures. When we’d visit the city, Liz and Claudio (who is also a photographer) would never fail to come find us to hang out, show us cool things, and be just a great example for our kids of what A+ human beings look like.
