Criminal organizations have already lost “tens of millions of shekels” since the boycott began.
Moroccan hash is sought after worldwide as a high-quality premium product, with estimates putting the trade's yearly value in the billions, making it one of Morocco's most valuable industries after tourism and phosphate exports.
I can personally attest to the quality of Moroccan hash. When I was studying in Sevilla, Spain as an undergraduate in 1993-94, we used to acquire it from a bartender in our neighborhood. He’d sell us these big hunks of hash that looked just like this:
